2008 is ending. 12:46 PM

the year is coming to an end soon, and I'm just too lazy to go update about every single fun-filled day.

i'll let my photos do the talking, if there is any:):)

oh by the way, I'll be meeting up with the study buddies again. Photos will be up soon, either here or in facebook. Today's venue - Ruhan's place.

29 Dec 2008
I realised, I'm old already. I don't have stamina as good as before. Played against NTU for a friendly. 98-68. Tsk tsk... Jurong Point is my new Orchard. It's SOOOOO BIG NOW!!!

28 Dec 2008
Our last youth service. My last (although I'm still one). An emotional one. It's how we're gonna handle the change, one that's definitely for the better:):)

A bad day though, because I had a nasty stomachache after I reached home from town. Thank God I got home by then. So today, I learnt that MINCE PIES ARE NEVER MEANT TO TASTE SOUR. AND NEVER BUY BAKERY AT HALF PRICE. Rested for the night and didn't swim:(

In case you guys don't know, I'M ON A DIET TO LOSE 3KG BY CHINESE NEW YEAR.

27 Dec 2008
A whole morning of basketball. SHIOK!!! Never felt so tired in the afternoon. Lovely afternoon nap...

26 Dec 2008
Went to crawford lane for Ba Chor Mee with some of the COR staffs after school traning. It was really good, I must say. Then we headed to Udder, an ice-cream parlour beside United Square. THE ICE CREAM THERE IS AWWWWWWWWESSOOOOMMMEEEE!! A pity I didn't have any camera, which means, I HAVE to return there again someday. HAHA.

Was on the way to meet Athe with Tricia. Bad jem gem jam. So hot babe, Jem and I alighted at The Heeren and walked really really fast to PS.

Baking at Jayne's place failed for me 'cause I was washing and didn't watch my Butter tart squares. =( They became black squares, and eventually fruit-cake-turned-over.

But all the food tasted REALLY good. I had to control myself from over-eating. LOL.

The games and video were all good. (photos from Athe will be up soon.)

Okay, i'm going out now. Will be back someday to edit this post and talk about... TRAINING TOUR!!!

HONG KONG, HERE I COME:):) 11:23 AM

Got to prepare and check my luggage today. It's Jingfeng's house's hanging out day. Flight to HK is at 6am tomorrow morning. ?!@#&!%

Just got back from Agape Retreat 2008: Bearers of His Divine Fruit. Let's do an update...

Day 1- 12th Dec 2008
It was basketball in the morning. Only woke up at 930am when Kiaboon called me. I was packing my stuffs for the retreat and HK trip till late last night. Hua Yi's team was coached by an ex-Saint. Not too bad afterall, although they were really rough and incorrect at times. Kiaboon and I only played for the last extra quarter. Haha.. Fun enough though.

Met up with Andrielle, Charis, Tricia, Dallas and Madeline to go marketing at TPY. I prepared... Nothing much actually. Was in charge of fruits and desserts, which came really late. HAHA. Tricia needed to rest, so I became the hands of Jayne, who instructed me on the preparation of Aglio Olio. It was really tasty!!! EH, not because I prepared it. Much of the seasoning was done by Jayne herself. So we had that, black pepper beef by Dallas (YUMMY!!!), pan-fried eggs by An, Canto sweet-corn soup and salad by Charis!!:) Others who helped out in the preparation were Mad and John. THANK YOU!!! A really wholesome dinner, I must say.

Spent the night helping Jayne to clear her kitchen of unwanted food. Ended up in bags and bags of them, some of which I wished I was there to eat them. She was so happy that ' I can see my tabletop now'. So cute!!!

Day 2 - 13th Dec 2008
Didn't manage to sleep well. I was fighting mosquitoes and the cold wind. Woke up at around 6am to help out with the breakfast. Buttermilk pancakes by Tricia, scrambled eggs by Athe (BEAUTIFUUUUUUUL!!), mashed potatos by An, Athe and myself. Microwaved some sausages too. SO FULL~~ After session, headed out to Boon Keng for a quick lunch before we started making our way to Johor via 170 from Little India.

Hilarious things happened on the trip. First was the unexpected heavy rain. Then came this weird guy on the bus. He was blabbering weird stuffs about prostitution and some girls selling chicken backside (An sat beside him first). Then, it was somebody with AIDS ( I guess that was Roy, who exchanged seats with An). Then we started calling Roy a priest, a Father. Spoke about Christmas, quoted John 3:16, said that we cannot condemn him, quoted Revelations 3. I was like, HEH?!?! Jayne, Athe and Roy almost wanted to cast out demons. That incident was really a eye opener for me. Patience and self-control for us were definitely tested.

The customs was the second round of testing. PATIENCE for most of them. John and I cleared the Malaysia checkpoint in 10sec? The rest took longer. Having been stuck in the queue, everyone just waited.

Checked in at around 530pm. I&R time was cut. Dinner, followed by a really refreshing session. Thank God for the session.

Watched some Jackie Chan movie on channel 8, Miss World on channel 5.

Soaked myself in the bathtub of hot water for about half an hour, I guess. I was just so reluctant to get out!!! HAHA.

Day 3 - 14th Dec 2008
Happy Birthday, Mummy and Darius!!

An jumped out of the bed because of my 十万个为什么 alarm at 715. Thank God for that alarm, if not everyone would have been late. HAHA.

Breakfast buffet downstairs. We started a small debate about century egg, 皮蛋. Haha.. I will update about that soon. Tried it after many many years of rejection. And afterall, it didn't taste as bad as I thought. More century egg coming my way!! WAHAHA.

Rounding up session, and concluded that, each of us only spent SGD30 for the whole retreat!!! Can you believe it?!?! That was inclusive of transport, food and hotel!!! GOD IS SO AWESOME!!!

Jusco was our last stop, and I am determined to return to shop more. Haha. Spent some time looking for Jayne!!! That story will be kept to ourselves. Had Papa Roti and Apple Cheesecake from Secret Recipe.

HOME SWEET HOME.

Alright. More updates about the training tour and others when I'm back. Bear in mind, I haven't updated about November. GOSH. Oh ya, if anyone has any lobang for jobs, please let me know.

Till then, SEE YOU!!!:)

I'll be gone. 9:24 PM

Went to Chinatown with my mummy to get her dress for Daddy's company's Christmas dinner. Skipped the training session in the morning as I was way too tired from last night's game and my illness.

10th Dec 2008
HAPPY 19th BIRTHDAY, JASON!!

Went to school in the early morning for the HK tour briefing. It was announced that bird flu broke out in some parts of HK, and should MFA declare, we may need to cancel our trip:/ Pray hard that it doesn't happen...

Then, Kiaboon and I went to Wanmei's place for a gathering. Had potluck, and I must really say, Wanmei's really capable!!! She prepared all our food. THANK YOU!!! Was playing Wii with Kia Boon and Jamie. Seriously, I'm not THAT bad with Wii Play okay?!?! I just needed a BIT more time to get used to the game. Damn...

Watched videos on Youtube. KIABOON LAH!!! Made me laugh until I couldn't control myself. Then again, you MUST watch this video, PROVIDED you are relatively good with the chinese language.

Lost our game with Qian Xi by 4 or 5 points. But both referees (JT and CL. Their names are censored to protect their privacy.) had been nice to us, seriously. I was coughing like nobody's business on court. But, really thank God for His strength throughout the game. I won't have been able to run around the court with Him by my side. It was my last game in this tournament. Sorry, girls, that I couldn't make it for the rest of the games. Will keep you girls in my prayer. Once again, thank you for all the fun and laughter that you had given me. CHAN AH LEI, when are you bringing us to kBox, huh???

9th Dec 2008
Finally, the day is here!!! HAHA. After weeks of cracking brain to choose songs, practising songs, and putting them on stage. Had a game of captain's ball before the concert starts. Was trying my very best to keep it from Kiaboon, Bindy and the guys team that I'm going to be on stage. Haha... Although everyone had their cocked up moments, but the whole event was so fun!!! Thank God for giving me back my voice to sing:) Theodore's my 情歌王子. Hurr!!

8th Dec 2008
Today's Jamming Day!!! I think i'm quite lousy. I don't even know what's the name of the jamming spot we always go to. I think I looked funny that day too. Hurr... Wait till you see the photos then. Anyway, that day was bad. HAHA. So we learnt a new lesson: DON'T EVER JAM I THE EARLY MORNING. Went home after that and SLACKED.

7th Dec 2008
A FULL DAY OF SINGING:) After service, Tricia and I went to Jeremy's place. Started choosing our songs, finding chords and adjusting keys. HAHA. Serioucly, the whole tprocess was SO FUN!!!

KUDOS to the TRUE GUITAR MASTER, JEREMY!!! He actually figured out the set for JJ's song and Before I Fall In Love by CocoNUT. LOL.

Ate like mad, even though I was having sore throat. Thanks to Jeremy's mum, who is SO FRIENDLY!! Ate Pizza, rojak, and satay!!! So full...

Then, we went to this whole new place (to me, that is). And when Tricia's my age, she came to this place for the first time too. A good start to a good 5 years... It's called WALA WALA. That place is AWESOME!!! And I saw Arthur there too, plus a few hot dudes... Jack And Rae was there too!!! They are born musicians man, seriously. MUST GO BACK!

6th Dec 2008
BEN&JERRY'S CHUNK FEST!!! It was awesome:):) I met up with Jo to go for it. The queue was rather long, but time was quickly spent away with the live band playing there. They are GOOD. So inspired to do a good job for the concert next year. And... Chocolate Peanut Butter Swirl Ice Cream is SPEECHLESS. Haha... TOO BAD YOU PEOPLE WON'T THERE. BLEAHS!!!

FINALLY. 5:37 PM

Okay. I'm finally back. Krist is sick. She's staying home. She's done with uploading for facebook, blah blah blah. Therefore she has the time to BLOG:):)

Wow. Lots of tracing back time to do. Something interesting happened almost every single day after A levels!!!

5th Dec 2008
Today's exciting too!!! Why? Because Krist is finally updating her blog!!! HAHA. Yes yes, this is THE happening of the day. What else do you expect, when I'm having a running nose, cough and sore throat??

4th Dec 2008
Went for SuperMassive 1.0 @ Old School. (I didn't know that the bands that were playing last night were so high-profile. Blame me for not being into Singapore's ROCK/METAL/whichever-you-call-it music scene.) Was there alone, because others had some urgent issues. Thank God for Nigel, whom I walked in with. Some of the bands were really good, like Class Act. The vocalist was POOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOWER!!! My legs and knees were nearly gone as I waited for Jason's band to play. Secular songs proved to be more popular. And WHOA. He IS good. Left after his performance.

3rd Dec 2008
Played a game that night even though I was feeling real bad. Coughing like some old granny. But, PRAISE GOD!!! I too, was surprised that I still had the strength to run around, fool around. Close battle fought, and we won by 4 or 5 points only. Oh well, good enough. Good enough.

2nd Dec 2008
Hangover Day!!! Nah, I didn't drink that night. Well, only a sip of Gabriel's Hoegarden, and a sip of Hui Ling's lime vodka. But, com'on!!! A few sip that didn't even add up to 1/4 of a glass man. I was just totally tired. Knocked out. So... I did nothing much that day but slept. Started to cough real badly. No fever. Good, good.

1st Dec 2008
TO MY DISMAY, I DISCOVERED THAT, ACJC HELD PROM AT FULLERTON TOO!!! -.-
WELL, I was out since 10am.

1st stop: Tricia's place. Borrowed her silver clutch and bling bling bangles and earrings:)

2nd stop: Vivocity. Supposed to just drop by Jurong Point or IMM. But playful me, went to take a quick bus ride to Vivo. Went to forever21 to look for accessories. Now that I mentioned it, I didn't finish shopping for prom until that day itself =X TSK TSK. Saw some nice rings. But then, spending ten over bucks on accessories that didn't really matter wasn't my style. So I decided not to buy. HAPPENED to walk pass the bargain corner, AND GUESS WHAT?! I saw this little, simple yet classy bubble dress on sale. 25bucks. My size. Something that I would have worn. ?!@*%$!! I almost bought it, but it was just a WANT. Hurried off to BYSI to get my ideal belt (that was the ONLY ideal belt I saw for the past 2 weeks that I was shopping). BYSI@VIVO didn't have it!!! (I saw it at JP.)

3rd stop: You've guessed it. JP. GOSH. I was running around the WHOLE day. Thankfully, the JP outlet still had that belt. THE LAST PIECE. IT WAS MEANT FOR ME. Muahaha~

Back home: Deena (that's my brother's girlfriend), came over to help me with the make-up. So thankful for that!!!:):) Saved me another lump sum. Hurr. I didn't have the chance to look myself in the mirror until she was done with everything. Bronzer, shimmering lip gloss, smokey eyes... OMG. That was MY reaction in the mirror. Like I had said to her previously, 'Who's that in the mirror man?!?!'

Thank you, TAN MENG YIK, for sending us to Fullerton. He managed to get a car:):) But the car ride was LOOOOOOOOOOOONG. Too many wrong turns. And lesson learnt: Don't trust a street directory. Go google anything that you don't know. I was getting all anxious, 'cause I was holding the tickets for the class. And bad news just had to pile up - I forgot the battery in my camera!!! So I ended up with a CAMERA that couldn't function. Ugh. Luckily, (well, I guess it's a blessing in disguise.) Sharon took slightly longer to do her hair and make-up, so she was still in CCK. Had my brother to pass her my battery=D

Saw so many people whom I had never seen before, or I didn't recognise. HAHA. Prom was okay. I think it's just the dressing up and camwhoring part that was fun. Food wasn't like AWESOME. Servings were SOOOOOO tiny. (Mind you, Krist is complaining about food portions...) Rightfully, the prom queen was Monique, the king Chin Meng (okay lah, he was still not too bad).

No no, I didn't go for post-prom at Arena. I'm nice girl. Went to Crazy Elephants with Gabriel and gang, the study buddies (Rachael, Clarissa, Sharon, Ruhan, Ian, Brandon) and Mr. Timo (who knows my darkest secrets even though that was the first day I met him!!!). The guys drank, some of the ladies drank. I drank too - Peel Fresh Mango Juice, which gave me a super bad sorethroat after that, I think. Pubs were preparing to close for the night, so we went for supper at SOMEWHERE, near Jazz@South Bridge. Brandon (HONEY), Gabriel, Ben and friend rotted around City Hall and waited for the dawn to break. So we made our way home respectively at around 6am in the morning.

The morning ended well with the FRIEND having a little tiny weeny caterpillar stuck to his jeans. HAHA. It was totally hilarious!!! The way he reacted to it and how he struggled to get it off... I was too tired to video the process down. LOL.

Saw Sharlyn, Bao Xiang, Constance on the bus home. Andrew knocked out at the back of the bus. He missed his stop too. OOPS!!!

Okay, that's all for December now. Shall update with more happenings in November!! Yawns~
(No photos will be posted here. All are up at Facebook...)
